Naast elkaar: steun bieden na seksueel geweld
Naast elkaar: steun bieden na seksueel geweld
When someone you care about has experienced sexual violence, you often don’t know what to say or do. In this workshop by the Sexual Assault Center, you’ll learn how to start the conversation: what helps, which questions you can ask, and what to avoid. You’ll gain insight into your own role as a partner or friend, along with practical tips and skills to support your loved one while also taking care of yourself. Psychologists from BRight GGZ will lead the workshop, and you’ll have the opportunity to share your questions, concerns, and experiences with others in the same situation. This workshop is for partners and friends of people who have experienced sexual violence. Men are especially encouraged to attend, but the workshop is open to everyone. Please note that the workshop will be held in Dutch.
About our event partners
Since 2012, the Center for Sexual Violence (CSG) has grown into a nationwide, 24/7 network of experts spanning 16 regions, supported by the National CSG. The CSG brings together (medical) care, law enforcement, and the justice system into a single, integrated approach and serves as the primary point of contact for victims, their loved ones, and professionals. Every year, 20,000 people receive help from the CSG, and this number is growing by 20% annually. In addition, the CSG plays a pioneering role in developing and disseminating scientific knowledge that contributes to better care and support following sexual violence.
BRight GGZ is a small-scale, Amsterdam-based group practice consisting of experienced and expert therapists. They specialize in treating symptoms resulting from sexual assault, domestic violence, and other traumatic events.
