Mark to the Music – ADE

Immerse yourself in a sensory and intuitive mindfulness session, combined with music and a drawing session. After the success of "Mark to the Music" during the Amsterdam Dance Event in the Museum of the Mind, we bring this mindful art experience to Parallel. Explore your inner world through sound and color, using mindfulness-based techniques.

This multidisciplinary art intervention is guided by Jolien Posthumus, a professional mindfulness trainer and creator of "Mark to Music". The beats are provided by DJ Nelly. Let yourself be taken on a personal journey, with the power of electronic music and sound through a guided visual meditation.

Jolien Posthumus created this program especially for Amsterdam Dance Event in 2022 and has been a successful program ever since on several events. Electronic music is taken out of the dancefloor context and integrated in a proven meditation practice that supports your mental health. With this program Museum of the Mind, Parallel and ADE aim to highlight the positive impact of art and music on mental health.

There are 2 time slots available to be chosen. All supplies to participate are provided. The meditation takes place in a quiet environment, invites you to stay in silence and provides enough space to not be bothered by other participants. All supplies to participate (meditation cushion, paper and crayon) are provided. Feel free to bring your own meditation gear. Maybe you would like to wear comfortable clothes, whatever works for you.
