Somewhere in your family lies a story that has never truly been told. A story that reaches far beyond your family's kitchen table, yet risks being lost in scattered memories, complex family dynamics, and emotional details that relatives would rather keep silent than discuss.
What you'll learn
In the course "Your Family History as a Podcast," Maartje Duin challenges you to develop a clear and practical plan for turning your family story into an audio documentary or podcast.
During the course, you'll explore questions such as:
- Why is your story suited to audio, and how can you adapt it for the podcast medium?
- How do you findor create sources that work well in a podcast?
- How do you give a personal family story universal relevance?
- How do you navigate the fine line between the personal and the private?
- What is the central question that will drive your story?
- How do you design and structure your research?
What skills or experience do you need?
- Experience conducting interviews.
- Experience with audio recording and editing is recommended, but not required.
