Auris x OBERHAUM | Luistersessie
Auris draait om luisteren. Geen vaste vorm, geen verwachtingen: gewoon de ruimte om geluid te volgen waar het heen gaat.
Zie het als een plek waar alles open ligt: een landschap zonder duidelijke richting, waar je even uit je routine stapt en je laat meenemen. Voor deze editie landen we opnieuw bij OBERHAUM: ons vertrekpunt voor de avond.
Vanaf daar laten we de controle los. De DJ’s nemen het over en bepalen de koers.
Vier DJ’s - Pekkel, 42nd Avenue, Ascha en Mx Terrible - krijgen ieder twee uur om hun eigen soundscape neer te zetten. Ze bewegen langs impulsieve percussie, dreunende atmosferen en gelaagde, pointillistische clubritmes.
Genres en tempo’s laten we los. We luisteren naar wat er ontstaat en volgen het verhaal van de artiest.
Ondertussen maakt @ar.strae live abstracte visuals die meebewegen met het geluid en de ruimte telkens opnieuw inkleuren.

Beschrijving van het programma
42nd Avenue
A ‘42nd Avenue’ doesn’t exist in our world. It’s not something you can go to or touch upon. Yet the idea is allowed to exist somewhere in our imagination, as vivid and real as you like it. Coming from techno, having moved through bass-oriented styles & downtempo, the 42nd project focusses on the dance floor & its vast amount of forms. Allowing to drift between multiple genres & styles, the task is to find an approach to any situation. Music is about trance, appeasement & thorough connection between body & mind. Roll with me…
Born and raised in Groningen, Pekkel brings the region’s down-to-earth attitude into his music. In his sets he aims to create a steady but ever-evolving groove shaped by diverse musical influences. A focus on low-end and percussion define his sound, with dub and tech elements being a recurring theme. Throughout the years, Pekkel has made appearances for various collectives, club OOST and at radio stations throughout the country.
As a DJ, Ascha is on an ever-evolving journey of exploring sounds past and present. Moving fluidly between genres in her mixes, she is interested in the unconventional and underrepresented. With an affection for syncopated rhythms, her sound ranges from downtempo beats like R'n'B, trip-hop and dub, to old school UK garage, dubstep and contemporary bass-driven club music. She will create a warm and intimate atmosphere whether it is in a club or in a listening setting. Past performances include Lowlands Festival, Wilde Weide Festival, IsBurning, Club3 and homebase RRFM in Amsterdam.
Rotterdam-based Mx Terrible translates the grit of Eastern European streets into a film noir: shadowed textures of electro, EBM, and ambient weave with ghostly folk fragments and shards of Polish rap. The structure is non-linear; sudden shifts, odd motifs, and unexpected flashes create a tension that never quite resolves. Heavy shadows meet abrupt contrasts, vocal fragments surface like overheard thoughts, and a sly humor flickers through the gloom. It is a vision that feels lived-in yet cinematic, one that refuses a happy ending.
Auris streeft ernaar om ruimtes te creëren en te cultiveren waar gelijkgestemden uit de underground muziekscene samenkomen om hun kunst te delen in een omgeving die vrij is van de beperkingen van traditionele clubs.
Dit doen we door middel van luistersessies. Door artiesten een ondersteunende ruimte te bieden waar ze hun creatieve ideeën kunnen uiten en met hun geluid kunnen experimenteren, willen we de groei van zowel individueel talent als de scene als geheel stimuleren.
OBERHAUM
OBERHAUM is een community-platform uit Amsterdam dat radioprogramma’s, een platenlabel en evenementen host.
Door middel van regelmatige livestreams en sessies wordt er ruimte gecreëerd waar artiesten hun muziek in een open setting kunnen delen, zowel voor een live publiek als online.
De nadruk ligt op verbinding en toegankelijkheid, waarbij een plek wordt gecreëerd waar zowel opkomende als gevestigde artiesten kunnen optreden en experimenteren.
