Nepal is not only a country with the highest mountain as Mount Everest, but also the birthplace of Buddha, where dozens of cultures live together in harmony. For many, it is a dream country to one day experience the vibrant culture and admire the high mountains up close. The diversity of cultures, people, and nature makes the country very special. During the Namaste Festival, all aspects that can be admired are on display. You can gather information about the country, its culture, and tourism, but also enjoy culinary dishes from the Himalayas, graceful dance performances, and live (dance) music. There is also room for deep relaxation with yoga and meditation with singing bowls.
The festival focuses on connection, social cohesion, and diversity, and is aimed at all Amsterdammers, Northerners, and migrants. Everyone is welcome, and the event is entirely free.
