There was a time when multilingual rapper and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Anthony Ferris was still working as a Spanish teacher. However, when he decided to enter rap competition 'Rhythm + Flow' under his stage name D Smoke, this era came to an end: his socially conscious bars about the streets of his hometown Inglewood secured him the win.<\/p>\n\n\n

The following year, D Smoke hit the spot with debut album 'Black Habits', which received two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and Best New Artist of 2020, and contained features from Snoop Dogg and Jill Scott. His second album 'War & Wonders' was released last year and finds D Smoke in his natural habitat: creating music with powerful messages accompanied by smooth instrumentals.
