Open Oscillator // Synth Picnic is an ode to synthesizers and other electronic instruments. During this summer night you can enjoy performances by modular synthesizer artiests Mike Lee Birds and Nils Davidse or bring your own portable instrument with you, enroll and perform during the open stage.
Open Oscillator // Synth Picnic is inspired by the event Open Oscillator from the Californian city San Diego. “An open-mic event for electronic musicians, vintage synth enthusiasts and noise creators. 8-bit, 12-bit analog, tape loops, turntables and more.”
Open Podium // Open Oscillator
Do you want to join the open stage? From 17:00 on you can register and somewhere between 18:00 and 20:00 you will take the stage to share your sounds!
Mike Lee Birds
Mike Lee Birds (aka Yonga Sun) makes electronic music as Mike Lee Birds. His main instrument is a modular synthesizer, but any tool that adds sonic texture is welcome.
Nils Davidse graduated from the Conservatory of Utrecht for Piano with a Bachelor of Music with Honours. He started out with a passion for jazz piano, by the time he graduated he fell in love with synthesizers and composition.
DJ Pulse Persephone (aka musician Rosa Ronsdorf of synth psych band Spill Gold) spins synthesizer tunes with her vinyls and via the digital music universe. She will play music throughout the night, with a special set at the end.
This program takes place in de Tuin. The entrance of de Tuin is at Tolhuisweg 3.
